Molly Van Avery
Molly Van Avery is a performance artist, director, poet, and emerging video artist. She has been involved with the Cultural Wellness Center for over five years as a student, facilitator, participant, and is currently an apprenticing Priestess in the Sacred Feminine Cauldron Studies. She helped start the young women's CHAT group and co-facilitated a girl's group that taught about the wheel of the year and the Celtic Holy Days.
As an artist Molly has been the recipient of the Jerome grant for emerging performance artists administered through Intermedia Arts and is currently a Jerome fellow with Minnesota Center for Book Arts where she is combining her work as a performance artist and poet through the creation of original books. She is the co-founder of Bright Eye Productions, a performance company composed of young, queer minded activists who seek to bring together performance and political imagination in order to create theater that inspires leadership among audiences.
Molly comes from a long line of seekers who envision what could be while trying to change what is, in order to make this world a more joyful, equitable, and dynamic place to live. The discovery of the divine feminine and the spiritual community of the Tree and the Well has impacted Molly's path deeply, leading her towards a more compassionate heart, a sharper mind, a more engaged spirit, and a closer relationship between the three.
